1. This is not the official LIC website
insurelic.com is the personal website of Geetha, an individual agent of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Agent Code 106374S, Thuckalay Branch, TVL Division). It is not operated, owned, sponsored or endorsed by LIC or by IRDAI.
Policies are issued by Life Insurance Corporation of India, constituted under the Life Insurance Corporation Act 1956, IRDAI Registration Number 512. That number is also the first three digits of every LIC UIN shown on this site.
LIC's official website is licindia.in. For anything official, including premium payment, policy status and grievances, please use that site or your LIC branch.
2. Trademarks
"LIC", the LIC logo and the names of LIC plans, including Jeevan Umang, Jeevan Labh, Index Plus and SIIP, are trademarks and property of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. They appear here only to identify the plans I am authorised to advise on. No affiliation beyond an agency relationship, and no ownership of those marks, is claimed.
3. Plan information is indicative
The plan descriptions, plan numbers and UINs shown on this site are short summaries prepared in good faith. They are not complete, and LIC revises, renumbers and withdraws plans from time to time.
Before taking any plan, read its sales brochure and policy document, which set out the benefits, exclusions, charges, surrender values and conditions in full. Where this site differs from those documents, the documents are correct.
4. No guarantee of returns
Nothing on this site should be read as promising a particular return, bonus, maturity value or outcome.
Unit Linked Insurance Plans, including Index Plus (873) and SIIP (752), are different from traditional insurance products and are subject to market risk. The NAV of the units may go up or down depending on the performance of the underlying funds and on factors affecting the capital markets. The policyholder bears that investment risk. Past performance of any fund is not an indication of its future performance. LIC is only the name of the insurance company and the plan names do not in any way indicate the quality of the plan or its future prospects.
Figures used in any illustration are examples at assumed rates and are not guaranteed. Guaranteed and non-guaranteed benefits are set out in the plan's own documents.
5. Market data shown on this site
The index level in the ticker is provided for general interest only. It comes from a third-party financial data source, is not live, may be delayed or occasionally unavailable, and is not verified by me or by any exchange.
It is not investment advice and must not be relied on for any trading or investment decision. It does not represent the value of any policy, fund or investment you hold. Unit values for LIC's unit-linked funds are published by LIC and should be taken from there.

8. Public notice on spurious calls
Beware of spurious phone calls and fictitious / fraudulent offers
IRDAI is not involved in activities like selling insurance policies, announcing bonus or investment of premiums. Public receiving such phone calls are requested to lodge a police complaint.

LIC does not ask for money by telephone either. If you receive such a call in the name of LIC or IRDAI, do not pay anything. Report it to your LIC branch, and call me if you want to check whether something is genuine.
